This is an in-person course at the Glass School studio.

Create your very own glass suncatchers with us at the Glass School studio. Whether you have fusing experience or not, this in-person taster session is an enjoyable opportunity to create small decorative glass panels that you can hang in your window!

What you will learn

This fun and accessible taster session is perfect for beginners interested in experimenting with fused glass.

You will learn the basics of glass cutting, and use colourful Bullseye accessory glass to create your own decorative suncatchers. Choose from abstract designs, floral motifs, or simple pictorial depictions to bring your ideas to life.

Your finished suncatchers will be fired and posted to you after the session with a drilled hole and ribbon attached, ready for you to hang up.

This taster session is suitable for beginners.

Taster Session Outcome:

You will finish this class with two of your own glass suncatchers.

We cannot guarantee parking immediately outside the studio and rely on on-street parking on neighbouring roads. Therefore, a short five-minute walk is typically required. If this poses access issues, please get in touch with us before booking a class.

What to prepare

Please wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes.
If you are attending a One Day Course. Please bring a packed lunch. Alternatively, there are shops and a pub serving lunches within walking distance of the studio.
All materials are included and all the necessary tools are provided.
Your booking information will be emailed to you before the course date.
This in-person course will have up to 4 students.
We teach using Bullseye Glass (CoE90).

Please note: Our teaching studio is upstairs, and there is no lift access. If you are concerned about access, please get in touch with us before booking a class so we can accommodate your needs.

If your cancellation is more than 28 days before the class, a 90% refund is available, or the booking can be moved to another available class. For cancellations up to 7 days in advance, a 50% refund will be given. After this date, we are unable to offer any refunds. Megan O'Hara

Megan began working with glass in 2005, creating a range of dichroic jewellery, and helping to make tiles for 5th Element Design. In 2011 she completed an art degree in Creative Art Practices at Sheffield Hallam University and returned to Warm Glass to pursue a creative career in glass.

In 2013, Megan attended a glass instructor’s course at the Bullseye Glass factory in Portland, Oregon and began teaching workshops for Warm Glass UK. In 2015 she took part in the Glass Heap Challenge in the Kosta Boda glass factory in Sweden. Megan is the Studio Coordinator at Warm Glass UK, responsible for the running of the studio and workshops as well as offering technical advice to customers, she is passionate about sharing her enjoyment of working with glass.
